Michael Pranger

I enjoy solving complex problems for our clients and helping them to best protect their valuable intellectual property. I joined the IpHorgan team as a clerk during law school, and I am proud to remain with the firm as an attorney. My primary area of practice is trademark prosecution and enforcement.

I was awarded a Bachelor of Music at the State University college of Fine Arts in Normal, Illinois, a Master of Music by Northwestern University Bienen School of Music, and I earned my J.D. at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.

Before my legal career, I worked as a classical trumpet player and appeared as a soloist with and in the sections of many orchestras throughout the Chicagoland area. Outside the office, you’re likely to find me in the kitchen, at Chicago’s Music Box Theatre, or in the practice room, attempting to keep my trumpet chops in shape.
